Welcome to Alexander’s, your little “peace” of paradise in Key West, Florida. The Alexander’s Guesthouse is proudly gay owned and operated. Our guests can enjoy complete freedom. We have taken every care to craft a tranquil environment in which guests can relax, decompress and unwind.
Located on Fleming Street in the heart of Old Town—Key West’s famous Historic District, Alexander’s is only a short walk or bike ride away from gourmet restaurants, theaters, galleries, fine shops and nightlife.
We are exactly 7 “island blocks” from the famous Duval Street, which is a 10 minute walk straight down beautiful Fleming Street where all the original mansions were built. Some of the recent home owners have been Calvin Klein and Kenny Chesney…a wonderful walk down history lane, with touches of jasmine trees along the way.

Alexander’s Guesthouse is comprised of three lovingly renovated homes making a total of 17 rooms. Each home was built between 1902-1904 and is a daily labor of love to keep them well maintained. Alexander’s is registered with the Key West Historical Society. With original walls, floors and many of the original windows, we have carefully preserved the original details of each home. For those who are architectural historians at heart, you will enjoy our little retreat. We have combined tropical elegance, with a homey atmosphere. Each room is set with all the modern comforts, but please note that because it is an historical home, it does not have central air conditioning, all rooms are equipped with new and well maintained window units.
Our pool serves as the social hub “The Heart” of the guesthouse, where you can relax and soak up the Key West sun, join us for cocktails during our fun Happy Hour from 5-6pm daily. The jacuzzi is a perfect way to relax and let you stress drift away. Comfy chairs located all around the property so you can enjoy a glass of wine and a friendly conversation surrounded by our lush tropical gardens. Guests begin their day with a complimentary expanded continental breakfast served poolside and start their evening of fun with complimentary cocktails during happy hour at our Pink Monkey Bar.
Three levels of sun decks allow for semi-private outdoor relaxation and ample space to sunbath. Our Guest Suite and Apartment have private decks for those who would like extra privacy.
Each room at Alexander’s is uniquely decorated in an elegant and contemporary Key West style, in addition to the basic rooms, Alexander’s offers a Guest Suite and a full Apartment.
Our friendly staff can help make arrangements for bikes, taxi’s, mopeds, as well, as nightlife and restaurant recommendations and reservations. They can assist you with all of your needs during your stay.
